A Malaysian man and a Dutch woman have died in separate incidents at waterfalls in far north Queensland over the weekend.

Two tourists have died in separate incidents at waterfalls in Queensland at the weekend.

A search will resume on Monday for the body of a Dutch woman who fell about 100 metres at the Roaring Meg Falls near the Aboriginal Community of Wujal Wujal, north of Cairns.

Officials have told the ABC the woman’s partner witnessed the fall on Sunday and is very distressed. Police divers have not yet found her body.

Also on Sunday, a Malaysian tourist died after getting into difficulties at Malanda Falls on the Atherton Tablelands, south of Cairns.

His body was found about 4.30pm (AEST) an hour after he slipped beneath the water.
