FLN – FREELANCER – up $1.10 at $1.60

Online employment outsourcing group Freelancer has enjoyed a stellar debut on the Australian share market.

GNC – GRAINCORP – down 49 cents, or 4.02 per cent, at $11.70

Prime Minister Tony Abbott’s reported reluctance for a foreign takeover of Australia’s largest agribusiness should have no bearing over any approval or rejection of the bid.

LLC – LEND LEASE – up 12 cents, or 1.1 per cent, at $11.13

Lend Lease says it is well placed to take advantage of the new Federal Coalition government’s focus on major infrastructure and post election pick-ups in Australian business confidence.

MAH – MACMAHON HOLDINGS – down one cent, or 7.1 per cent, at 13 cents

Macmahon Holdings says 2014 is shaping up as a challenging year for the mining contractor as it battles for work in the resources industry.

PDN – PALADIN ENERGY – up 0.5 cents, or 1.25 per cent, at 40.5 cents

Uranium miner Paladin Energy has made a $US40 million loss in the September quarter as uranium prices remain low.

BGA – BEGA CHEESE – up 30 cents, or 6.7 per cent, at $4.75
