A Day on the Green is getting ready to welcome international stars Rob Thomas and Chris Issak to its stages next year, as part of its huge 2016 program.

The stars will be making their way around the country early next year, stopping for performances at the some of the event’s venues – including Sirromet Wines in Mount Cotton.

As part of his world tour supporting his new solo album, The Great Unknown, Rob Thomas will perform at Sirromet Wines on Sunday 28 February 2016.

And for his fans, this is what you can expect from his performance.

“I’ll be playing some of the new stuff, some of the old stuff, a little bit of everything, it’s pretty exciting,” Rob says.

Rob’s new album The Great Unknown is his first solo album in more than six years, featuring singles Trust You and Hold on Forever.

Joining in on his Brisbane performance will be special guest Pete Murray and Darren Middleton from Powderfinger.

Also in the line up to perform at Sirromet Wines for A Day on The Green next year, is Chris Issak.

For the first time since 2006, Grammy-nominated Chris Issak will perform at the venue on Sunday 10 April.

Chris’ love affair with Australia is no secret; he is currently a judge on The X Factor Australia, boasts an unparalleled eleven ARIA top twenty albums across his 30-year career, and has sold upwards of a million albums in Australia alone.

Three of his albums – Forever Blue, Wicked Game and The Best Of – boast Australian sales of over triple platinum accreditation, and latest release First Comes The Night is set to follow, debuting at #2 on the ARIA Album Chart a few weeks ago.

The twelve-track release is Chris’ thirteenth studio album, mostly written and recorded in Nashville at the recommendation of long-time friend Stevie Nicks, and is his first album of original songs in six years.

At A Day on the Green, Brisbane audiences will be treated to tracks from First Comes The Night as well as long running hits like Wicked Game, Forever Blue, Baby Did A Bad Bad Thing and Somebody’s Crying, all injected with Chris’ sly sense of humour and raw charisma.

Chris Isaak will also be joined by James Reyne, Richard Clapton and Thirsty Merc.
