The opening of BOUNCE this week will mark a new era of fitness, recreation and family fun in Brisbane.
Tingalpa will be home to Brisbane’s first indoor trampoline park, opening its doors to the public on Friday 30 May.
The spring-loaded urban playground named BOUNCE, first opened in Melbourne, features more than 100 interconnected trampolines over 500 square metres of circus-grade padding and air bags.
BOUNCE co-founder Antony Morell says parents can rest easy knowing their kids are having fun safely, while exercising at the same time.
“Everyone’s been on a trampoline where the risk is you’ll fall off or bump into the springs or steel frame,” says Morell.
“We remove those hazards by replacing them with circus frame padding. Instead of falling from the trampoline to the ground, you fall from one trampoline to another!”
The fully-training staff work hands on, allowing parents to relax in the café while the kids bounce around.
BOUNCE will also host high energy sports from dodgeball, basketball, circus-style acrobatics to Parkour (free-running).
Many elite athletes use trampolining as the ultimate core strength workout and ten minutes of activity is equivalent to running for 30 minutes.
“It’s totally unique; we’re modelling on a concept from circus athletes’ schools in the US like Cirque du Soleil,” continues Morell.
“BOUNCE has struck a chord with a great variety of people, from skiing and surfing pros honing their skills to local mums and dads enjoying a coffee with the Sunday papers whilst their kids jump around.
“We’re opening up the world of adrenaline rush sports to everyone, to experience the euphoria of flight and the joy of bouncing around on a larger scale.”
“Come join us make extraordinary things possible!”
