Let me start with a disclaimer: These songs are not necessarily the ‘best’ songs of 2013 but they were played on the radio countless times and you could not get through a night out without hearing them at least once.

3. Summertime Sadness by Lana Del Ray and Cedric Gervais
The ultimate summer dance mix, ‘Summertime Sadness’ was one of Lana Del Ray’s more melancholy songs until Cedric Gervais got his hands on it and turned it into the dance anthem.
4. Roar by Katy Perry
The perfect song of empowerment, everyone will sing this song at the top of their lungs, especially after a few champagnes.
5. Hold on we’re going home by Drake, featuring Majid Jordan.
From humble beginnings Drake is now an international superstar, and you just can’t help but sing when ‘Hold on we’re going home’ comes on.
6. Wake me up by Avicci
Avicci was a fast mover in 2013 with several hits, ‘Wake me up’ in particular was played countless times across multiple platforms.
7. Same Love by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, featuring Mary Lambert.
Not the most upbeat of party songs but the political message in this song earns it a place on our list.
8. Get Lucky by Daft Punk ft. Pharrel WIlliams
Daft Punk came back in 2013 and their collaboration with Pharrell Williams for ‘Get Lucky’ was a stroke of genius.
9. Timber by Keisha and Pitbull
A collaboration for party goers everywhere, Pitbull and Keisha all in the one song could you ask for more.
10. I knew you were trouble by Taylor Swift
Taylor had a huge year touring the U.S and Australia and her song I knew you were trouble with its dub step undertones was big on the mainstream club and party playlists.
