The musical duo were at QPAC today to launch the season and said they were thrilled to return to the Brisbane stage.
Stenlake has a rich music theatre background with roles in Cabaret, Guys and Dolls and Oklahoma along with his turns in hit TV shows Stingers and Sea Patrol. Harding also boasts a packed resume, with roles in The Wizard of Oz, Just Like You…..Only Different! and Oklahoma under her belt.
“Brisbane audiences are beautiful audiences, they are very appreciate they are with you every step of the way. QPAC is just wonderful, I think it’s one of the best places to perform,” Harding says.
“It’s unique that Brisbane gets to see a fully realised musical in a concert hall which is slightly different to a lyric sized theatre,” Stenlake agrees. ” I think Brisbane audiences just go off.”
Harding and Stenlake have officially opened the Harvest Rain theatre 2014 season tonight at QPAC, performing alongside Jon English, Simon Gallaher and Marina Prior, along with a cast of over 50 musical theatre performers.
