It’s almost here, that time of the year when Brisbanites embrace their inner German at the city’s finest and most authentic German festival — Oktoberfest Brisbane!

Oktoberfest Brisbane is Australia’s largest German Festival, and ranked by National Geographic Traveller in the top 10 Oktoberfests outside Germany. Now in its eighth year, the Festival puts its own special spin on Munich’s world famous festival for over 37,000 visitors over the weekends of 9-11 and 16-18 October.

The Brisbane Showgrounds are about to be transformed into a mini Bavaria for Oktoberfest Brisbane, complete with an authentic Biergarten stocked with Weissbier and Dunkelbier; traditionally German sausages, pork knuckle and schnitzel, freshly baked pretzels, Lebkuchen hearts and strudel; and genuine German tunes played by a band flown in directly from Munich.

Embrace your inner German at the Miss Oktoberfest Brisbane, Bavarian Strongman and Beardmeister competitions, and bring the kids to the Kinder Zone!

Oktoberfest Brisbane runs from 9-11 and 16-18 October. Visit:
