Take up the challenge, chase your personal best and enjoy the music, energy and fun from DJs, bands and cheerleaders on one of Brisbane’s most spectacular courses!

Brisbane’s favourite run is back in June 2016 and has a fresh new face with Australian netball superstar, Laura Geitz, announced as an official event ambassador for the 2016 Brisbane Times City2South presented by Westpac.

The 28-year-old Australian Diamonds and Queensland Firebirds captain will join thousands of participants at the event on Sunday 5 June, with a 5km and a 14km course ensuring there is something on offer for everyone.

A Brisbane local, Geitz says she is delighted to join her community in running, jogging or walking the spectacular course.

“I’m very excited to get involved and watch Brisbane come alive with so many people looking to get out of their comfort zone and raise money for charities that are important to them,” Geitz says.

“It really is an event that caters for all fitness levels and the course definitely shows off the best of the city. I’d encourage everyone to sign up and run for fun, fitness, charity, whatever they want!”

The best fun run course in Brisbane, City2South starts on William Street in the Brisbane CBD and finishes in South Brisbane. The scenic 14km course will cross the gorgeous Brisbane River three times, at the Victoria, Go Between and Eleanor Schonell Bridges.

The 5km course is equally as beautiful, with both courses also packed with live entertainment throughout including DJs, bands, cheerleaders and dancers ready to keep runners motivated along the way.

This year, City2South aims to raise $125,000 for more than 550 charities! Click on the ‘Fundraising’ tab on the event website to either Start Fundraising, Sponsor a Friend or Donate to a Cause.
