BIGSOUND Festival 2017’s first artist announcement is here, and it’s spectacular.

Now in its 16th year (can you believe it?), BIGSOUND has helped launch the careers of some of the biggest names in the music industry, including Flume, Courtney Barnett, RUFUS, The Jezabels, Seth Sentry, The Temper Trap, Ball Park Music, San Cisco, Boy & Bear, A.B. Original and more.

The Fortitude Valley live music showcase is back in 2017 with a line-up that stretches across all genres, full of buzzworthy names that are on the lips of A&R types around the world.

This year, for the first time, each BIGSOUND act will be given the opportunity to play twice, expanding the live music experience across four nights and ensuring punters and industry folk will get a couple of chances to see the acts everybody’s talking about.

“Once again we’ve been spoiled for choice when it comes to the range of new and exciting talent being showcased at BIGSOUND,” says programmer Maggie Collins.

“I know these acts will follow in the footsteps of those that have come before them and achieve the international recognition that they deserve.”
