After wowing crowds at the iconic Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, La La Land In Concert is making its way to Brisbane.
The show gives audiences a chance to experience the film like never before, with an 80-piece orchestra and jazz ensemble.
The Philharmonia Australia Orchestra will be among the world’s first orchestras to perform the soundtrack from La La Land live, alongside a full screening of the acclaimed film.
From the infectious opening number, ‘Another Day of Sun’, to the joyous ‘Planetarium’ instrumental and the Academy Award-winning ‘City of Stars’, the 80-piece orchestra and band will bring the film’s soundtrack to life.
The rare critical darling that mainstream audiences actually liked, La La Land grossed more than $430 million worldwide and won six Academy Awards (although not, rather famously, the Best Picture gong).
La La Land In Concert premiered at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl last month to rave reviews, with Variety hailing the show as “truly magical” and Billboard calling it “a bountiful feast for the eyes and ears”.
The show is now making its way around the world, ending the year in Australia (around the time that the film itself debuted last December).
La La Land In Concert will play the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre on Tuesday 12 December. My Live Nation pre-sale tickets will go on sale at 10am this Wednesday 14 June; tickets will go on sale to the general public at 12 noon this Friday 16 June at livenation.com.au.
