King George Square will be transformed into a winter wonderland for the Skating At Brisbane Festival.
The Winter Festival has had a makeover, and will now be known as the Skating At Brisbane Festival.
The pop-up open-air ice skating rink aims to bring the feel of a European ski resort to the Brisbane CBD.
The month-long celebration of all things snowy will feature figure skating demonstrations, a real snow toboggan, an inflatable slide, live music and a traditional European market.
You can hit the ice and show off your skills, darting skillfully between the snowflakes, or you can browse the market and warm your belly with food from Del’s Burgers by Delfina’s Bistro, Bobby’s Wood Fired Pizza, Quality Turkish Food, Strudel Haus, German Doghouse Sausages and The Calamari King.
The Skating At Brisbane Festival will be held at King George Square from Friday 16 June to Sunday 19 July, opening from 10am to 8pm from Monday to Thursday, 10am to 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 9am to 8pm on Sundays.
Entry is free, but the ice-skating sessions and rides are ticketed. For more info, visit brisbane.skatingat.com.au.
