We’ve seen the future, and it works.

Brisbanites will have a unique opportunity to see, shape and share new technology and ideas at the inaugural BrisMakerFest this weekend.

The event will bring together manufacturers, researchers, entrepreneurs, designers, makers, creators and educational institutions from across the state at The Edge (State Library of Queensland) this Saturday 3 June.

You’ll be able to design and create wearable technology, fabricate furniture using 3D printing technology, build robots and join in a host of other workshops, activities and presentations with some of the world’s brightest minds.

The event is open to everyone and anyone with an interest in advanced manufacturing and emerging technologies; STEM skills and their fundamental importance to advanced manufacturing; and the why and how of sharing ideas and techniques between industry and makers.

Tickets are strictly limited, though, so you’ll have to pre-register now if you want to attend the workshops.

The BrisMakerFest will be held at The Edge (State Library of Queensland) this Saturday 3 June from 9:30am to 5pm. To see the full program and register for tickets, visit statedevelopment.qld.gov.au/industry-development/brismakerfest-2017.html.
