Brisbane thrill-seekers assemble — the Ridiculous Obstacle Challenge is here.

More than 500,000 racers have taken on the Ridiculous Obstacle Challenge in Sydney and Melbourne over the last seven years, and now it’s Brisbane’s turn.

Much like the game shows Wipeout and Double Dare, the Ridiculous Obstacle Challenge (ROC) dares you to battle bizarre inflatable obstacles.

Participants will take on crazy inflatables including The Wrecking Balls, The Sweeper, Jump Balls and a four-storey-high water slide known as The Hippo while maneuvering around a wet and wild five kilometre course.

Those who are ready to tackle the course are encouraged to dress in crazy costumes, gather their bravest friends and register as a team.

ROC marketing director Bobby Petersen says that Brisbane warriors can expect to face their fears while laughing all the way through the ridiculous course.

“The day will not only be for all those daring to take on the action, with spectators welcomed to watch the fun from the sidelines and cheer on their friends and family throughout the course,” he says.

The Ridiculous Obstacle Challenge Race is an untimed event open to everyone, ages 13 and up, and will take place on 13 May 2017 at the Brisbane Showgrounds from 8:30am. To register a team, visit
