UK indie pop group The Wombats have announced their first Brisbane show in six years.

It feels like just yesterday that The Wombats were regularly selling out shows in Brisbane, but nope — it’s been six years already.

If you need to jog your memory, these are the guys who had hits with tracks like Let’s Dance to Joy Division, Moving to New York and Jump into the Fog.

The trio are currently celebrating the 10th anniversary of their debut LP, A Guide to Love, Loss & Desperation. They’re coming back to Australia for Groovin The Moo, the music festival that tours to various regional areas throughout Australia, and they’ve just announced a Brisbane sideshow at the Riverstage.

They’ll be supported by Milky Chance and The Jungle Giants, who are both headline-worthy acts in their own right.

The Wombats, Milky Chance and The Jungle Giants will play the Riverstage on Monday 1 May. Pre-sale tickets will go on sale at 9am this Thursday 9 March, before tickets go on sale to the general public at 9am on Friday 10 March at
