My Dad Wrote A Porno — the podcast in which Jamie Morton reads out chapters from the erotic books his 60-year-old dad has written — is coming to Brisbane for a live show.

Imagine if your dad wrote a dirty book. Most people would try to ignore it and pretend it had never happened — but not Jamie Morton.

Instead, he decided to read the book to the world.

With the help of his friends, James Cooper and BBC Radio 1’s Alice Levine, Jamie reads a chapter each week, and discovers more about his father than he ever bargained for.

Launching in 2015, the podcast has become a runaway success around the world with more than 50 million downloads worldwide, at an average of 700,000 downloads a week.

Now the show is headed to Australia, where audiences will have the opportunity to hear the trio read a brand-new chapter that you can only hear live.

The live My Dad Wrote A Porno podcast will come to The Tivoli (52 Costin Street, Fortitude Valley) on Monday 21 August.

Tickets will go on sale at 10am on Monday 27 February at livenation.com.au with a My Live Nation pre-sale from noon on Friday 24 February to noon on Sunday 26 February.
