Buckle your seat belts, Aussie film fans. An all Australian movie double is coming up at the Metro Arts Theatre this January.
Celebrating iconic Aussie films of the 70s, 80s and early 90s, Kristian Fletcher presents a late night ozploitation movie double. Head along to Metro Arts (109 Edward Street, Brisbane CBD) on Friday 27 January to experience Roadgames and Body Melt. Roadgames (1981) (M) will open the night at 8:45pm, followed by Body Melt (1993) (MA15+) at 10:30pm.
In Roadgames, a truck driver plays cat and mouse with a mysterious serial killer using a young female hitchhiker to lure victims. Body Melt stars Andrew Daddo and Lisa McCune as residents of the peaceful suburb Homesville. Little do they know, they are being used as test experiments for a new ‘Body Drug.’
This event will be held in the newly-refurbished Lumen Room cinema, an intimate 100-seat room located on the ground floor of Metro Arts. As there is a licensed bar at the venue the event will be limited to movie-goers aged 18+.
Tickets can be pre-ordered here or purchased on the door.
