Trainwreck star Amy Schumer has cancelled her Australian tour dates due to illness.

The popular actress and stand-up comic had been scheduled to perform shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth this month.

The tour was set to include a stop at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Wednesday 14 December.

“Live Nation regret to announce that Amy Schumer’s December tour dates will not go ahead due to illness,” the promoter said in a statement.

“Unfortunately, due to Amy Schumer’s tight schedule it is not possible to schedule replacement dates however, we will be working to confirm a return to Australia as soon as is practical.”

Tickets purchased by credit or debit card will be refunded in full within 10 working days.

Ticketek will contact customers who purchased their tickets at an agency with cash or EFTPOS to advise them on how to process their refund.

Schumer was last in the country to promote Trainwreck and play a one-off, sold-out show in Melbourne in 2015.
