The line-up for this year’s Spirit of Christmas concerts at QPAC has been revealed.

This year, the ever-popular Spirit of Christmas concerts will be headlined by Australian musical theatre stars David Harris (Legally Blonde, Wicked, Miss Saigon) and Helpmann Award winner Amanda Harrison (Wicked, We Will Rock You).

The concert will be hosted by Great South East presenter Sofie Formica and will feature Spirit of Christmas regulars like the Queensland Symphony Orchestra (conducted by Simon Kenway), the 160-voice Spirit of Christmas Choir (comprising members of the QPAC Choir), Brisbane Chorale, Resonance of Birralee and Brisbane Birralee Voices.

For the first time in the history of the event, which has been presented every year at QPAC for over three decades, the Archbishop of Brisbane, Mark Coleridge, will deliver the Christmas message.

Guest soprano Julia McRae will also perform, as well as Samuel Skuthorp and Kate Yaxley, two talented graduates from the Bachelor of Musical Theatre program at Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University.

The Spirit of Christmas concerts will be held on Friday 23 December and Saturday 24 December; tickets to these shows always sell out fast, so head to qpac.com.au to grab yours.
