Surprise! The Bulimba Festival is back for 2016, and it’s on this weekend.
The Bulimba Festival is a bit of an odd beast — traditionally a single-day event, it stretched out to a whole week in 2015, before it was announced that the event would take a year off in 2016.
But here we are in 2016, with another Bulimba Festival coming up this weekend — and this year, it’s back to being a more manageable one-day affair.
Oxford 152 and Barcadia have taken the reins of this year’s event, and they’re delivering a huge line-up, with over 100 markets on Oxford Street covering food, fashion, arts and craft.
Sports stars from the Brisbane Bullets and Cricket Australia will make special appearances at the event, and entertainment will be provided by a killer bill of live acts including Asta, Mallrat, The Badloves, The Jensens and even Karl Stefanovic’s favourite band, The Delta Riggs. (There’s no indication that Karlos himself will be at the event, but I guess we can’t rule out the possibility.)
Bulimba Festival 2016 will be held on Oxford Street this Saturday 12 November from 10am to 10pm. A gold coin donation is required for entry.
