QUT’s Kelvin Grove campus will host a unique one-day festival dedicated to creativity and technology.
CreateX is being billed as “Queensland’s first technology-infused festival of creativity”, and will launch the next phase of QUT’s $87 million Creative Industries Precinct expansion, incorporating design, performance, fashion, music, and interactive and visual media.
The event will feature more than 60 performances, demonstrations, workshops, parades and panels, including immersive interactive games; showcases of virtual reality films, augmented reality and robotics; and even a chance to grow your own clothing.
CreateX will be held at QUT’s Kelvin Grove campus on Sunday 28 August. It’s a free event, but there will be a fee for some workshops.
The event will commence at the Precinct on the corner of Musk Avenue and Kelvin Grove Road at 10am, and close with an official opening ceremony performance for the precinct from 6pm to 7pm. For more details, visit createx.qut.edu.au.
