Ipswich’s Brisbane Street will be transformed into a fun-filled street of discovery this August, for the city’s Street Feast event.
Held on Saturday 6 August at Top of Town in Ipswich, Street Feast will feature a range of foodie activities, markets, displays, live performances and acts.
From 12pm to 8:30pm, feast goers can browse through markets filled with boutique stalls, enjoy a range of pop-up art shows or watch performances on one of three stages.
Popular country music performer, Rheanna Leschke will rock the main stage in the afternoon, while the Nev Ollis Band, The Life of Riley and A Band Called Twang amp things up through the evening celebrations. There will also be poetry, rap, beat-box and other musical performances.
During the day event-goers can experience special fine dining in local cafes and venues will be serving up delicious winter warmers cooked low ‘n’ slow, served with locally sourced ingredients, homemade condiments and secret recipe sauces.
If you’re after a bit of street food instead, a range of food vendors will be serving up delicious street eats like Popcorn Pork, Cajun Pork Fingers, crunchy smoked fried chicken and Texas Beef rolls. Yum!
Don’t forget to check out the steam punk displays and some of the crazy inventions of the weird and wonderful.
