The Stitches & Craft Show is inviting Brisbane audiences to get crafty at the Brisbane Convention Centre this weekend.
You’ll be able to purchase specialty stitching, paper and craft products, and see what’s new in the craft world, at The Stitches & Craft Show, making it the destination for anyone wanting to share the handmade experience.
The highlight of this year’s displays and exhibits is 50 Years of Flower Power, which is set to feature a stunning 10-metre long knitted and crocheted ‘flower garden’ made up of hundreds of bright floral motifs in all shapes, sizes and colours. More than 207 contributors from at least 24 countries have contributed to the display!
There’ll also be an outstanding quilt exhibition from the US, dubbed Food For Thought, which will feature 34 artworks by leading quilters and explore the role food plays in our daily lives.
Talented Aussie weaver Rainie Williams will be at the show to run her mini weaving workshops, where she’ll discuss the calming effects associated with weaving.
The Love Vintage show is back on the main stage, sporting a new look, as renowned vintage consultant Mistress Chrissy Keepence will present styling demonstrations and makeovers.
There’ll be plenty of opportunities to learn a range of crafting skills with workshops, make & take classes, pop-up classes and free demonstrations and seminars throughout the weekend.
For the young crafters, there’ll be a Kids’ Corner where you can join event mascot Crafty Cat for a little colouring-in fun!
A fixture in the diary for crafting queens, The Stitches & Craft Show will be held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre from Thursday 17 March to Sunday 20 March, running from 10am to 4:30pm each day. For more info, visit craftevents.com.au.
