After touring the globe, Casus Circus is back in Brisbane for Knee Deep – a show filled with outstanding acrobatics.
Fresh off the back of a sold out Sydney Festival season, internationally renowned Casus Circus will present their premiere work Knee Deep at the Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts, this month.
Entering its 5th wildly successful year, four performers with a dozen eggs, explore the boundaries of strength and fragility live on stage. Bodies will be pushed and pulled, weighed and tested. Unlikely bonds are forged and acts of intimacy cohabit space with thrilling physical feats that must be seen to be believed!
The Casus clan have taken this raw and visceral work to all ends of the earth including the likes of Chile, Edinburgh, Sydney, Paris, New York and the Netherlands.
Throughout the show, the performers tread a fine line between delicacy and vitality, bringing an honest emotional edge to the stage, revealing strong connections, astounding power and poise among the quartet.
The Brisbane tour – on from Thursday 18 to Saturday 20 February – will feature four outstanding acrobats all with diverse backgrounds and talents, including; Casus Circus co-founders Natano Fa’anana and Jesse Scott and ensemble members Jesse Huygh and Kali Retallack.

Whilst always ensuring he’s healthy and happy, Jesse’s passion for circus and zest for life encourages all who interact with him to seize the day!
Following the show on Friday 19 February, there will be a free audience Q & A session where Jesse, joined by his fellow cast members, will speak about his life lived with Cystic Fibrosis, as well as share stories of the global success story that is Knee Deep and Casus Circus.
