Hip hop superstar Kendrick Lamar has been added to the bill for Bluesfest 2016.
Joining the likes of Noel Gallagher, Tom Jones, The Decemberists, The National, City and Colour and The Cat Empire, and many, many more, King Kunta will mark his third visit Down Under for the 27th annual Bluesfest at Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm in Byron Bay. The rapper previously toured Australia as Eminem’s special guest on his Rapture festival tour.
Prior to the festival, Kendrick will also showcase his third and latest album To Pimp A Butterfly at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena, and Sydney’s Allphones Arena in late March. (Don’t hold your breath for a Brisbane sideshow.)
Tickets for Bluesfest are available now, and the Sydney and Melbourne shows will go on sale Monday 19 October at 9am AEST.
Bluesfest runs from Thursday 24 to Monday 28 March; Kendrick Lamar will perform on Thursday 24 March. For further information, visit the website.
