This Saturday everyone’s favourite suburban markets are celebrating their 1st birthday with a jam-packed day of scrumptious food and exciting entertainment!
After a huge 12 months in operation, the Carseldine Markets want to celebrate their successes with all of their beloved customers and vendors.
The day will kick off with a celebratory party cake cutting at 9:30am with Amanda Cooper, local Councillor and representative from the Lord Mayors office. With around 500 people expected to attend the cake cutting alone, it will be first in best dressed for free slices so make sure you get in early!
Musical entertainment for the day will include performances from the eclectic Japanese Drumming trio Tokoton Taiko. Their set will only run for half an hour and is not to be missed. For the rest of the day, get your toes tapping to acts from a range of local bands and buskers including ‘Antics’, Quentin Chen and many more.
There will be ample exciting activities for kids to enjoy with pony rides, a petting zoo, face painting, and a jumping castle to name a few!
Visitors will also be treated to heaps of special offers across the market stalls from bagels to flowers and anything in between.
Entry and parking to the event are always free, so come along to this special event between 6am and 12noon!
