The freshly refurbished City Hall will host the Brisbane’s Comedy Festival’s night of nights, a one-night-only comedy gala supported by Lord Mayor Graham Quirk and Brisbane City Council.

City Hall has now been added to the list of venues to host this year’s Brisbane Comedy Festival. For one night only City Hall will host acts including Matt Okine, Ronny Chieng, Fiona O’Loughlin and Dave O’Neil.

Supported by Lord Mayor Graham Quirk and Brisbane City Council, the gala event is a new addition to the popular annual Brisbane Comedy Festival.

Lord Mayor Graham Quirk says it promises to be a night filled with laughter: “City Hall is a wonderful performance venue and I’m pleased to see it joining the Brisbane Powerhouse as a stage for comedians to show off their talents during this festival.”

Having recently undergone a $215 million restoration City Hall is set to be the perfect location for a night full of cheer.

Cr Quirk said it was a great opportunity to showcase the potential of one of Brisbane’s most iconic buildings.

“Brisbane is a vibrant, creative city and has a great reputation for attracting artists and entertainers of all kinds.”
