Celebrate what’s great about our sunburnt country with the whole family at the upcoming Australia Day Warm-Up Races at Doomben Racecourse.
Taking place on Saturday 24 January, this is a great way for families and race lovers alike to enjoy a day in the Queensland sunshine. Even the littlest Aussies won’t miss out the fun and frivolity of the day, with the ‘bmag Family Zone’ soon to be a hit.
BRC General Manager – Marketing Matt Rafton said it will be a great way to entertain the whole family.
“It’s the perfect way to kick-start the Australia Day weekend,” he said. “The free rides and activities for the kids are a great way to enjoy a day out with the family as the summer holidays draw to a close.”
Children of all ages can get involved in free Australian-themed games, rides and entertainment in the dedicated family friendly area.
There will also be plenty of games for mum and dad too including the inaugural XXXX Beer Can race, Man verses Snag eating contest and Aussie-themed best dressed competition.It doesn’t get more Aussie than a yummy BBQ lunch and coupled with the excitement of live racing – it’s a perfect way to enjoy the day with the whole family.
Tickets are available at the gate for just $15 for adults, $8 for students and seniors and free for children under 18.
