Looking to get the year off to a running start? Then sign up now to be part of the Hans Resolution Run on January 11.

Here’s a surefire way to avoid any resolution guilt — participate in 2015’s Hans Resolution Run and run your way to good health this year.

If one of your New Years resolutions is to live a healthier lifestyle and become the best version of yourself, then this could be the first event to work towards on your fitness calendar.

With ample time for a solid New Years recovery, the Hans Resolution run will be held on the 11th of January and is a fabulous opportunity to not only get fit with friends and family but also raise money for the charity of your choice.

The main event is 11km long but there is also a shorter 5.5km run available. All ages are welcome and guaranteed to enjoy themselves, and kids under five are allowed to join in for free!

The run will begin at the picturesque River Stage in the Botanical Gardens and will travel through the city, taking in the spectacular scenery. You can breathe in the fresh air and see the city from a different perspective.

On top of your own personal charity contribution, for every $1 raised by you, the community reaps $8 in health benefits from the Heart Foundation’s research.

You’ll also be running alongside one of Australia’s best marathon runners — Commonwealth Games star Melanie Panayiotou, currently ranked second on the Australian National Marathon Rankings!
