Disney Live! presents Three Classic Fairy Tales is heading for Brisbane and we sat down with Princess Cinderella to chat about Christmas, castles and what happens when dreams come true.
I was a little intimidated by the towering navy turrets and glittering windows of Cinderella’s castle when I visited to speak with the princess about life after her happy ending.
“Yes, it is rather grand, isn’t it?” Cinderella laughs when I compliment her new home. “I still get a bit lost sometimes, but everyone here has made me feel so welcome that it truly feels like home.”
She says the palace grounds are her favorite place to spend time.
“The Prince and I love to go horseback riding,” she says. “And I always like spending time with my animal friends, sewing clothes for them and making their favourite things to eat.”
She adds that her mice friends Gus and Jaq have made themselves very much at home in the palace.
“Of course, not everyone appreciates them as much as I do,” she says. “Pom-Pom, the palace cat, can be quite mischievous. So, I still have to rescue them sometimes.”
Cinderella says she is looking forward to Christmas, which is always a very festive occasion in the castle.
“Every year, the King has the ballroom decorated with beautiful garlands and candles,” she says. “And this year, we’ll be having a feast for everyone in the village.
“I also thought it might be nice to decorate the garden and have a special celebration for all the palace animals. That way they can share in all the warmth and happiness of the season.”
