The New Globe Theatre are taking adults back to their childhood and introducing kids to a new world of magic these school holidays.
The iconic Brunswick Street cinema is showing a host of family favorites in the coming weeks and there are some titles you definitely don’t want to miss out on. After all, no matter how many times you’ve watched a classic, there’s nothing quite like seeing it up on the big screen.

The Little Mermaid (G)
Kristian Fletcher and New Globe Theatre present a special 25th Anniversary screening of this Disney animated classic where a mermaid princess makes a bargain with an unscrupulous sea-witch in order to meet a human prince on land.
Saturday 27 September at 3.00pm. Tickets $10.
BMX BanditsĀ (PG)
Two BMX expert bikers and their friend become entangled with a group of bank robbers after discovering a carton of walkie-talkies. A young Nicole Kidman stars in this Aussie cult classic.
Sunday 28 September, screening at 3pm. Tickets $10. Under 18s must be accompanied by a parent.
The Lion King(G)
Lion cub and future king Simba searches for his identity. His eagerness to please others and penchant for testing his boundaries sometimes gets him into trouble.
Wednesday 1 October, screening at 6.30pm. Tickets $10.
