Tiffiny Hall, a self-described ‘ninja’ and former ‘The Biggest Loser’ trainer, is the guest speaker at Brisbane’s upcoming League of Extraordinary Women Breakfast.
Throughout her remarkable career, Tiffiny has acquired countless titles from author, Taekwondo black belt, Logie-nominated television personality, anti-bullying crusader, health guru and motivational speaker. Best known for her role as a kick-ass trainer on The Biggest Loser, Tiffiny earned herself a Logie nomination for Most Popular Female Talent.
As a an expert on health and wellness, Tiffiny has written for numerous publications including Herald Sun, OK!, Cosmopolitan, Cleo, Dolly and Women’s Health and Fitness and has also created a collection of health books to inspire Australians to find balance and renew their approach to health and fitness.
Combining her health and journalistic pursuits, Tiffiny has become a popular school speaker and written a series of Roxy Ran novels that empower and instill confidence in young readers. On a mission to stamp out bullying, she delivers entertaining health talks, anti-bullying programs, writing workshops, and self-defence classes in schools.
It seems there is nothing this ninja can’t do and she’ll share her story with guests in her typical engaging style at the League of Extraordinary Women Breakfast on Tuesday August 5.
Chatting to Tiffiny about the breakfast, we found out what really inspires her and the best advice she’s ever received.
“What inspires me? A great book. The faces of kids who have read my books and connect with my characters and messages. Sharp, driven women who won’t settle for second best in the pursuit of their dreams… if you have something to fall back on, you will always fall back on it. Love what you do and do what you love.”
When asked how she decides what to talk about and what fires her up about presenting to women, Tiffiny explains: “It’s easy — I talk about the three keys to success. Success to me isn’t about how much money you earn but living a successful life in all pillars of happiness: your physical, emotional and psychological health, social connection and growth and contribution as a person.”
Her number one tip to change people’s lives instantly? “Stop eating sugar. You will have more energy, drive and clarity of thought.”
With a schedule like hers, Tiffiny clearly follows her own advice. When she talks about what’s coming up next for her, we understand why she needs to have plenty of energy and focus. “My fourth novel will be published with HarperCollins Publishers in June next year. It is a stand-alone children’s novel for kids aged 13 and up. Plus I aim to continue working with kids in schools through my anti-bullying programs and to help kids (and big kids) to feel more confident through health and fitness.”
