As a part of GOMA’s new Harvest exhibition, Fallen Fruit brings you: The Pineapple.
US-based collective Fallen Fruit are putting on the newest installation to hit GOMA, Fallen Fruit of Brisbane: Pineapple Express! as a part of the Harvest exhibition.
The installation will glorify the story of the Sunshine State’s fruit, the pineapple, and the creators called on artsy Queenslanders to get involved.
The exhibition will include publicly borrowed objects of art (artists will recieve their work back after the duration of the exhibition) that celebrate the pineapple in a number of ways.
Objects, drawings, paintings, photographs or mementos are just some of the items set to be on show as a part of the Pineapple Express, running from 28 June to 21 September 2014.
The Harvest in general will explore the production, consumption and symbolism of food, similar to the exhibitions Fallen Fruit has put on previously around the world.
This will be their first exhibition in Australia.
