Local artisans and designers Jon and Julie Sutton, Trudy Florence, Amanda Whitelaw and Rebecca Cason will host the Brisbane leg of the international Etsy Craft Party on Friday 6 June.
The Etsy Craft Party is a one-day global celebration of meeting and making with a different theme each year. This year’s theme focuses on transforming photographs into works of art worth displaying, using a variety of craft supplies and creative techniques.
The Brisbane Etsy Craft Party will give participants a chance to breathe new life into their photographs through a range of techniques, including illustration, paper cutting, embroidery, collage and journaling.
The event is presented by Makers and Designers Australia and the Brisbane Brown Owls craft group; it will be held at the Buffalo Hall, 30 Seeney Street, Zillmere on Friday 6 June from 6-9pm.
RSVP (to firstname.lastname@example.org) is essential; tickets cost $20 at the door and include all workshops and materials, complimentary drink and nibbles, a sample bag loaded with crafty goodies and entry in the lucky door prize.
