Wynnum will be engulfed with light and fire as the Advantage Illumination Festival takes over next month.
The inaugural RE/MAX Advantage Illuminations Festival is set to light up the Wynnum Foreshore on Saturday June 21.
The event begins at midday and with the amount of entertainment available, attendees will have no chance of being bored.
A fire sculpture, lantern parade, floating lanterns, projections, illuminated trees and a hot air balloon are just some of the entertainment scheduled for the evening.
A twilight market and local musical performances are also to be expected.
The lantern parade will begin at 5pm from Wynnum Central, starting at Edith Street and working its way down to The Esplanade and around the wading pool.
Participants in the parade will place floating lanterns on Wynnum Wading pool that colour change, a definite photo opportunity.
The fire sculpture will be lit Pandanus Beach, and the fire twirlers and illuminated stilt walkers are sure to impress.
The Manly Dragon Boat Club is set to host a twilight tug-of-war competition in the Wynnum wading pool and a demonstration race on Moreton Bay to Pandanus Beach.
Everyone is welcome to participate in the parade with 1000 free lanterns being available to children.
