Some of the country’s best dancers will accompany Katie Noonan when she illuminates the QPAC stage next month in a night not to be missed.

The incredible Sydney Dance Company and Katie Noonan will bring magic to Brisbane when they perform Les Illuminations alongside the Queensland Symphony Orchestra on Saturday 14 June.

Les Illuminations is directed under the baton of Chief Conductor Johannes Fritzsch, choreographed by critically-acclaimed Rafeal Bonachela and costumed by one of Australia’s leading fashion designers, Toni Maticevski.

The 45-minute boutique production composed by Benjamin Britten was first performed in the early 1940s and is a reflection of love in all its forms.

When Les Illuminations premiered with a sell-out season in Sydney last year, it was hailed by the Daily Telegraph as ‘simply spellbinding’ and the ‘most inventive evening of dance you are likely to see on the world stage’ by Limelight.

Brisbane-born soprano Katie Noonan told bmag these productions have kept her very busy for the first half of 2014, prior to her local performance of Love-Song-Circus in March.

The celebrated songstress has received wonderful feedback for Les Illuminations so far, with the production being dubbed as a ‘glorious song cycle performed brilliantly by Katie Noonan’*.
