Harvest Rain Theatre Company has launched their 2014 season at QPAC in an all singing, all dancing event.

The season will be Harvest Rain’s  first full season as a fully professional company and they’ve got a stellar lineup of shows set for 2014 opening at QPAC

Monty Python’s Spamalot has never before been staged professionally in Brisbane, until now. The show will open at the Concert Hall QPAC from 2 October 2014 presented by Harvest Rain.  Monty Python’s Spamalot is lovingly ripped off from the 1975 film Monty Python and the Holy Grail. The show will star an exciting line-up featuring audience favourites, Jon English, Simon Gallaher and the ever graceful and always entertaining Julie Anthony.  Ever since Jon English and Simon Gallaher joined musical comedy forces on stage to open the brand new QPAC in 1985 in the Pirates of Penzance, audiences have been waiting for them to re-unite.  Monty Python’s Spamalot will be the first time since then that the dazzling duo have paired up. They are now set to delight audiences with Jon English strutting the boards as King Arthur, Simon Gallaher as Patsy; King Arthur’s trusty servant/steed and constant companion, and Julie Anthony as the Lady of the Lake.

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s beloved musical CATS will show be produced as a spectacular arena style production in the round at the Brisbane Convention Centre from 4 July 2014.   Australian Theatre doyen Marina Prior will star as Grizabella (singing the magnificent “Memories”).  Supporting Ms Prior will be a professional ensemble of 30 dancers accompanied by hundreds of Brisbane theatre actors and interns as The Kittens.

Tony Award winning Musical Guys and Dolls will play at the Concert Hall QPAC from 20 March 2014 and will host a star studded line-up including Ian Stenlake and Angela Harding (reprising their wonderful pairing from Oklahoma) as Skye Masterson and Sarah Brown, the inimitable Gold Logie Winner Daryl Somers as Nicely Nicely Johnson, musical theatre legend Wayne Scott Kermond as Nathan Detroit and Liz Buchanan as the gorgeous Miss Adelaide.
