Ghost folk band Little May are headed for Brisbane.

Sydney three-piece act Little May are celebrating the success of their highly acclaimed single, Hide, with their first ever Brisbane show.

Last week their sophomore single, Hide, reached the coveted position of #2 on the Hype Machine charts, combined with the #2 position on the Airit charts and has accrued more than 140,000 Soundcloud plays.  Plucked from their forthcoming debut EP, their newest offering is testament to the outfit’s diversity, cloaked with darker undertones and brimming with a subtle strength – Hide flaunts what has been coined “ghost-folk of the highest order”.

Heavily inspired by the likes of Local Natives and Fleetwood Mac, the threesome have drawn comparisons to cutting-edge-folk music makers, First Aid Kit.   Having already performed to a sold-out single launch in their hometown as well as being invited to play at Secret Garden Festival and Wollombi Music Festival this year, don’t miss Little May on 7 December at Southside Team Room.

Purveyors of “ghost folk of the highest order”, Sydney three-piece Little May are quickly becoming one of Australia’s hottest exports. Little May strike the perfect balance of rambling percussion, haunting vocal harmonies and a unique dynamic that is dark but hopeful.
