Beautiful spiritually inspired songs, kirtan and a delicious vegetarian meal, all for $5.
Sally Williams Schloegl is a singer/guitarist and songwriter from the Gold Coast. At the age of 10, she was also was a keen violinist.
“Mum and Dad, not so keen, offered to buy me any other instrument if I would only STOP playing the violin. I opted for a guitar and they immediately got me one and I immdiately started to play and sing and so began my real love affair with all things music. In fact music runs in my family!” Sally says.
Her husband, sister and youngest son are also musicians.
In the past Sally has supported some big Australian names, such as, Mick Fleetwood and the Zoo, Paul Kelly, Daryl Braithwaite and Vika and Linda Bull.
She has written songs for World Vision, children’s stories, tv commercials Christmas choirs and other musicians.
Aussie band Bullamakanka recorded one of her originals Wild Horses and country singer Deniese Morrison recorded a song that Sally co-wrote with her sister, The ballad of KP Nutbrown.
When I Fall was recently chosen by soundcloud to be #SCOTD. Peaceful Dreams came second in an international song contest put on by World Citizen Artists and Playing for change.
Sally writes songs about her life, loves and convictions. She loves to tell a story and all her songs are all based on life experiences.
Many years ago Sally came upon Mantra Meditation and has been practicing ever since. Her spiritual journey opened up a whole new world as she began to realise that there was more to life.
From there Sally has started to interweave Mantras and spiritual ideas into her music, giving it more depth and meaning.
Sally will be performing live at The Mantra Room West End. There will also be kirtan, a chai bar and a delicious vegetarian meal.
