New to Queensland? Here’s your chance to relax with loved ones and make new friends, while enjoying diverse food, real coffee, and a wonderful concert.

This year, be among the 15,000 people that attend Queensland biggest welcome event – The LUMINOUS Lantern Parade, starting from South Bank’s Cultural Forecourt, in a circular route, to end in front of Queensland Performing Arts Centre.

Join representatives from government, council, business and community groups, and the broader Brisbane community who will be holding different colourful lanterns of varying sizes to celebrate Queensland’s great cultural diversity while enjoying a free concert of world music and dance, with the famous Brisbane Gypsy band – Doch.

The Nunukul Yuggera Indigenous dance group with Imanzi Rwandan drummers, Bolivia Marka dancers, Lam Tu Luan Vietnamese lion dancers, Xango Capoeira group and Vasil and Vasilini, Slovakian Gypsy musicians will also be featured at the concert.

The LUMINOUS Lantern Parade is proudly supported by TAFE Queensland English Language and Literacy Services.
