Agro, the much loved puppet who became a household name in Australia, is set to bring his politically incorrect brand of humour to the live stage.
From the late 80s, and throughout most of the 90s, Agro, and his alter ego Jamie Dunn, were streamed into every home in the country. The star of “Agro’s Cartoon Connection” (winner of 7 Logie Awards), “The Super Saturday Show”, and “Wombat”, struck a chord with children and adults alike. He was the guest every show wanted, and appeared on all the top rating shows such as “Family Feud”, “Tonight Live with Steve Vizard” (which he also hosted), “Wheel of Fortune”, “Hey Dad”, and more recently “The Morning Show” and “Daily Edition.”
Now fans can relive his special brand of innuendo, comedy and unrelenting pokes and jabs at those that deserve it. Featured in “Agro Up Late” will be goof tape clips, stories from behind the scenes of the iconic character and shows, and another familiar face, that of co-host Jill Ray.
“Agro Up Late” is scheduled for three exclusive shows only, due to the heavy commitments of both Mr. Dunn and Ms. Ray. With the Studio Theatre only holding 50 people, tickets are extremely limited.
