On Saturday October 17 at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre a very special evening will welcome over 1200 guests and will see the country’s leading stars join together to raise funds to save young lives.
Famed as one of the largest and most vibrant charity balls in Queensland, this year The Coffee Club Telethon Ball has been inspired by the story of the ancient Japanese Peace Crane, and the legend that 1000 origami cranes will bring luck, good fortune and health.
The evening will be hosted by Channel Nine’s Catriona Rowntree together with The Today Show’s Karl Stefanovic, Lisa Wilkinson and Richard Wilkins.
A star-studded lineup of entertainment, headlined by the multi-talented Jessica Mauboy, will roll out during the evening, with many performers sharing the evening with the Channel Nine Telethon that broadcasts live from the Ball.
Taking inspiration from Japan for the culinary adventure component of the evening, Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre Executive Chef, Martin Latter has created a menu which nods to famous flavour combination from the land of the rising sun.
