The Australian Doctors Orchestra is one of Australia’s leading amateur orchestras; a unique fellowship of medical professionals. With more than 600 members nationwide, the ensemble’s annual concert for charity brings together around 70 doctors; specialists, generalists and medical students.
Over 70% of doctors in western countries have received musical training and a significant proportion take this training to professional degree level. Founded in 1993, The Australian Doctor’s Orchestra enables busy doctors an outlet for their significant musical skills.
In this concert, the orchestra will be performing the great symphonies; Beethoven’s Pastoral Symphony, Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 and Auber’s Bronze Symphony. They will be supporting the Day of Difference Foundation with 100% of all ticket sales donated to the foundation.
