Parks Alive is coming back to the major parks and gardens of Brisbane over two big weekends.
Roma Street Parkland will host the second weekend of the event on 22nd & 23 August, with South Bank Parklands joining in the festivities on 23 August.

Possibly the biggest weekend of the Parks Alive program, Roma Street Parkland will give event-goers plenty of fun to satisfy the gardening enthusiast, music lover or those just wanting . From guest speakers to walks to workshops and activities for the kids, the weekend promises something for everyone.
Saturday night will see The Amphitheatre turned into an outdoor cinema for a movie night that the whole family can enjoy. Just bring your picnic baskets, food, blankets and cushions.
Both days have a fantastic line-up of live performances from some of Brisbane’s newest up and coming bands, who’ll be playing at The Amphitheatre.
There’ll also be displays and stands on the Serenity Lawn for people to come and check out as well as talks on a range of subjects including urban been keeping, native plants and bugs in your life!
A huge variety of guided walks will also be on offer which will allow people of all ages to explore the parkland and discover things that they never knew about plants or the parkland.
For the kids there’ll be plenty of fun to be had with the official opening of the Children’s Garden, face painting, crazy hair designs, arts and crafts, Boats on the Lake and a Treasure Hunt.
There’ll be a wide array of workshops across both days to keep you engaged as well.
The weekend promises to be a bunch of fun and a great excuse to get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather!
South Bank Parklands
South Bank Parklands will be joining in the Parks Alive festivities on Sunday 23 August with gardening demonstrations in the Epicurious Garden, along with a number of children’s activities.
Entry is free at both events so come along and enjoy the festivities and fresh air!
