21 Bands, 10 DJs, 30 visual artists, and 5 bunnies on a golf course: what more could you expect from the first annual Maroochy Music and Visual Arts Festival.
Held in the undisputed capital of the Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, Maroochydore, The Maroochy Music and Visual Arts Festival promises a perfectly curated amalgamation of Australia’s most loved bands and a visually striking collection of visual artists from local, national, and international arts communities.
On at the old Horton Park Golf Course, event organisers have taken on the philosophy of Mark Twain “Golf is a good walk spoiled” and we agree that there are better uses for hundreds of acres of lush, green landscaped golf gardens than just golf.
All the hottest Australian bands will be on one stage, no clashes, no missing your favourites and no losing your friends. There will also be a 70 metre cash + card bar, no queues, no drink tickets.
You’ll have plenty of time and space to wander around the bunkers and be awe-inspired by the open-air visual art park. Eat, drink, make a day of it, make a weekend of it.
Some of the music line-up includes; Alpine, DZ Deathrays, Flight Facilities, Gang of Youths, Harts, Hermitude, Hiatus Kaiyote, The Kite String Tangle and Marlon Williams, plus heaps more.
Some of the visual artists there on the day include; Amanda Parer, Bertie Blackman, Cekios, Conrad Square, Fuzeillear, Gerard King and Gus, plus heaps more.
