Westfield Carindale is holding an exciting activity series these school holidays. “Minions The Little Lab” will be popping up in-centre for an interactive and exciting mini science lab where kids can get hands on with science and embrace their inner “Minion”. In partnership with Universal Pictures and the new Minions movie launch, this will be the first Minion activation of this kind in Australia.

With the help of trained professional scientists, kids will learn how to create their very own yellow Minion flubber which they’ll be able to take home with them!

When:

Saturday 27th June – Sunday 12th July

10AM – 1PM DAILY

Where:

Centre Court, 10am-1pm daily

Cost:

FREE

There are also exciting live science stage shows, where kids can watch as professional scientists from the team at ‘Street Science’ WOW them with spectacular demonstrations including The Science of Fireworks (coloured fire), Liquid Nitrogen Demonstrations (shrinking balloons, making clouds and freezing a banana to make a hammer), and the Science of Air (shooting smoke rings).

When:

Thursday 2nd July / Friday 3rd July / Saturday 4th July

Thursday 9th July / Friday 10th July / Saturday 11th July

1:30PM (30 MINUTE SHOW – FREE)

The 4th of July is Westfield’s National Giveability Day, running across all centres nationally to raise funds and awareness for local families living with disabilities. As this date falls across the Minion school holidays activities, the performances and Little Lab event will be raising funds and awareness for Westfield Carindale’s local charity, Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus (SBH Queensland). Playing on the Minion theme, the colour yellow will be all throughout the centre including yellow snow cones, fairy floss, Minion character in-centre appearances and even some employees dressed in yellow!

Parents can still enjoy FREE activities but have the option to also make a contribution toward SBH Queensland if they would like.
