The RSL ANZAC Eve Concert in conjunction with Queensland Symphony Orchestra (QSO) provides an occasion to recognise and thank our ANZACs, our ex-serving and those still serving, and reflect on the sacrifices they made and continue to make.

This year they honour the centenary of the ANZAC spirit, which will be embodied through the emotive and passionate performances.

Commencing with a vocal opening from The Queensland Choir and Brisbane Chorale and followed by Didjeridu who will evoke the Australian homeland, setting the stage for the world premiere of The Fallen for lone piper and orchestra, along with a rare opportunity to hear Elegy for Strings, composed by a soldier wounded in Gallipoli in memory of a comrade. The line up includes Brisbane talent Billy Bourchier, Queensland Police Pipes and Drums, and the Queensland Detachment of the Royal Australian Navy Band before the concert ends with a bang.
