Celebrate what’s great about this country at the Australia Day Long Weekender.
With green spaces, shady trees, panoramic views of the iconic Brisbane River and CBD, the South Bank Parklands are the perfect place to spend your long weekend.
There will be something for everyone to enjoy, with over 70 free music performances including Busby Marou, Kingfisha and Bullhorn, interactive art by Maria Cleary, children’s performances by favourites Toasted TV, Totally Wild, Lissa and Nee Nee and Jelly Kids and some breathtaking performances from the Imanzi Rwandan Cultural Dance Group and Heilani Polynesian Dancers.
If that isn’t enough, a spectacular display of fireworks will light up the Brisbane city skyline on Australia Day eve, so head on down and bring Australia Day in with a real bang.
Bring your picnic rug, set up at the barbecues, cool off at Streets Beach or at IKEA Outdoors and enjoy celebrating Australia Day 2015 with family and friends.
