Share the magic of Ballet Theatre of Queensland’s new production of The Sleeping Beauty, an enchanting ballet based on the Charles Perrault fairy tale and set to the famous music of Tchaikovsky.

Choreographed by Ballet Theatre of Queensland’s Artistic Director Timothy Brown, with magnificent sets and costumes, The Sleeping Beauty showcases the talents of some of Queensland’s finest young dancers, in a ballet for both the young and the young at heart.

On her 16th birthday, Princess Aurora pricks her finger on a rose thorn, falling under a spell cast by the wicked fairy Carabosse. However the Lilac Fairy intercepts and Aurora falls instead into an enchanted sleep for 100 years, until a handsome prince finally wakes her with a tender kiss.
