Some of Brisbane’s leading designers and artisans are set to display their wares at an inaugural art show entitled Brisbane Made Design Pop-Up.
The event, to be held at Holland Park on Friday 12 December and Saturday 13 December, is an event conceived to highlight and support Brisbane creativity and original design. These artists will provide local residents and Brisbane’s followers of good design with a unique opportunity to meet them, to learn something of their craft and take home their final product.
Work displayed at the event will include textile design, visual art, fashion, homewares, ceramics, jewellery, furniture, plant design and more.
Designers and artisans participating include Robyn Harding of The Design Cafe, an emerging textile artist with a background in landscape, urban and graphic design and Clare Poppi, a jewellery maker and metal-smith focusing on sustainable design and wearable art.
Other artisans include Edward and Lilly, an embroiderer and artisan of homewares, soft toys and accessories and Erin Hassall. As a Brisbane fashion designer with her own label, Erin Hassall Designs, Hassall creates highly wearable and visually exciting clothes for women.
The event will also provide refreshments served on the lawn by The Curious Caravan, a retro caravan encouraging a fun and relaxed community atmosphere.
