Relay For Life is such an important event to raise awareness of the impact of cancer. All funds raised during the event go towards the Cancer Council Queensland’s education and prevention programs, as well as cancer research to find better treatments, and continued advocacy towards making this issue a governmental priority.

Relay For Life began in Australia in 1999, when the Victorian community of Murrumbeena raised over $75,000 for Cancer Council. Relay For Life is now run in every state and territory and raises over $14 million each year for the cancer fight.
